Terms of Service

Welcome to Dropzone. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dropzone platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Dropzone ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Dropzone is an AI-powered job outreach platform. The Service enables users to:

  • Discover companies and contacts
  • Generate personalized outreach emails using AI
  • Send emails through their connected email account
  • Track outreach status and responses
  • Run an autonomous agent that discovers prospects and generates outreach
  • Scan email for job alerts and extract company information

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google account. Phone verification via SMS may be required during registration. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Credits and Payments

Dropzone operates on a credit-based billing model:

  • Free credits: New users receive a one-time grant of free credits upon completing onboarding.
  • Credit purchases: Additional credits are available for purchase in packages. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
  • Credit consumption: Credits are consumed when you perform actions such as company searches, contact unlocks, AI email generation, and match scoring. The specific credit cost of each action is displayed in the Service.
  • No expiration: Purchased credits do not expire while your account is active.
  • Account deletion: All remaining credits — both free and purchased — are permanently forfeited when you delete your account. No refunds will be issued for unused credits.
  • Auto-refund: If a credit-consuming operation fails to return a result (e.g., no email found for a contact), the credits are automatically refunded to your balance.

We reserve the right to modify credit pricing and package offerings at any time. Changes will not affect credits already purchased.

4. Email Integration

The Service offers optional email integration that requires your explicit authorization. When you connect your email account, you grant the Service permission to:

  • Read emails: Scan job alert emails in a designated folder to extract company and job information
  • Send emails: Send outreach emails from your account on your behalf, only when you explicitly approve each email or enable auto-send through the autonomous agent
  • Manage organization: Create and manage labels or filters to organize scanned emails

You may disconnect your email account at any time from within the app. We do not store the contents of your emails beyond the extracted structured data (company name, job title, etc.).

5. AI-Generated Content and Autonomous Agent

The Service uses AI to generate outreach emails and messages, score company-candidate matches, and power the autonomous People Agent. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed before sending
  • You are solely responsible for all content sent from your Gmail account or via LinkedIn, whether AI-generated or manually written
  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or effective
  • We do not guarantee any particular response rate or outcome from AI-generated outreach
  • The autonomous People Agent can discover prospects, score matches, and generate outreach on your behalf according to your configured settings. You are responsible for reviewing agent-generated content before sending, unless you have explicitly enabled auto-send
  • If you enable auto-send, you accept full responsibility for all messages sent automatically by the agent on your behalf

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or any content that violates the CAN-SPAM Act or similar laws
  • Harass, threaten, or send abusive messages to any person
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in outreach communications
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Attempt to circumvent credit limits, billing systems, or usage restrictions
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than professional job outreach

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services for data enrichment, AI generation, payment processing, analytics, and email. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or policies of third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and features, is owned by Dropzone and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your personal data, resume content, and any modifications you make to AI-generated emails. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page in the app. Upon deletion:

  • All remaining credits are permanently forfeited. This includes both free signup credits and any credits you purchased. No refunds will be issued for unused credits upon account deletion.
  • Your personal data — including your profile, resume, outreach records, email drafts, templates, saved companies, agent results, and learning data — will be permanently deleted.
  • Your email connection will be revoked and scan history deleted.
  • Financial records (credit purchases) will be anonymized for our accounting and tax compliance purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. We strongly recommend using any remaining credits before deleting your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. In the case of termination for violations, unused credits are also forfeited.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Contact information obtained through the Service will be accurate or current
  • AI-generated outreach will result in responses or job opportunities
  • Third-party data sources will be available or complete

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DROPZONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO DROPZONE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dropzone from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your outreach activities conducted through the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
